My name is Clayton Combe, and I’m an ex-filmmaker, with 13 years of experience as a Director, DP, Gaffer, and Board Op. I created Lighting Designer in 2011 because the iPad had just been released, and it was the perfect alternative to drawing a lighting plot on the flap of a cardboard box on the morning of a pre-light day.

I design and develop LD in my spare time, and I always like to hear what you think. What do you like about it? What could be better? What would make your job easier to do?

If you’re already an LD user, you can contact me directly from the app by selecting Email Developer from either the Browser or the Plot menus. That email will gather and attach important hardware and software details that this form does not include, so if you’re having a problem, I’d prefer you use that method. Also remember that I automatically receive crash reports from all users, so if you’re having a lot of trouble, I already know the technical details. Just describe the problem and I’ll get right on it!
